Dilyn was a 15-week-old crossbred dog who was abandoned by puppy farmers. Friends of Animals Wales transferred him to Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s custody at No. 11 Downing Street. Apparently, the prime minister and his partner named Carrie Symonds actively promoted Lucy’s Law that aimed to eliminate the puppy farmers in England.
Fortunately, Prime Minister Boris Johnson was an animal lover who supported different animal welfare’s laws. He believed that all animals should have the best lives which they deserved, so he coordinated with a charity founder named Eileen Jones to help Dilyn. Eileen’s Jones, a founder of Friends of Animals Wales, helped seriously injured and sick animals to get treatment and rehabilitation.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds worked together to save Dilyn from probable death in a puppy farm. Fortunately, Eileen helped to fix his jaw abnormality; therefore, he had taken surgery to treat it. After a successful operation, the dog lived near a house-trained cat’s apartment, so they saw each other very often. Luckily, he was fostered care for five weeks since the puppy farmers abandoned him.
Despite the abandonment, Dilyn was able to acquire some huge transformations in his life. Now, he lives in Downing Street where some famous people in England live. He also mingles with the prime minister’s family and friends; however, his story gives awareness to all people about the importance of adoption. He definitely enlightened everyone about miserable situations of dogs in puppy farms.
Some kindhearted people wanted to adopt the dogs who endured more sufferings. Some of them didn’t look so attractive because of their poor health conditions, so they needed more love and attention. Fortunately, Lucy’s law would be legally implemented in England to stop animal cruelty in puppy farms. Misfortunes of the dogs could have been avoided if the law was implemented earlier; however, it would truly save lots of dogs from probable deaths.
Now, Dilyn enjoys his extravagant life in a fancy house under the custody of his loving owners. His owners give him a new life that is far different from a miserable life in the puppy farm. He still continues to inspire all animal lovers to adopt the dogs in the puppy farms because they desperately need help to have comfortable lives as well. Watch the video below:
